I went on a short hike today with my host family. We just took a quick walk up the hill, around through Knee, down through Haselstauden and back around to Schwarzach. On the way back we cut through the forest to the piece of land that my host parents own. There is a special plant that grows in the forest that they like to eat a lot, called Bärlauch. Doris uses it instead of basel for pesto, and for many other things.
