Euro Tour: Barcelona Day 1

May 29th

This morning we took the bus a short ride through the city and over to the castle on the hill. After a little walk underneath a gondola we arrived at the peak with a great view of the Mediterranean and most of Barcelona itself. The castle was armed with multiple canons and we could climb up onto them and look through the barrel. The inside courtyard and top floor were free of charge so we all filtered in and out of the grounds, taking pictures and just being tourists as usual. Before going back to the buses we went to the art museum of Barcelona (not inside) and looked at the grand fountains leading up to its entrance. I walked down to the bottom and through the round-about with Crash and Thayane, so we got a nice look at the whole building. Free time followed, so I walked the streets with Rebecca, Alyson, Jessie, Erin, Kate, and Izze. I tried some Tapas - it was delicious - bought a souvenir, visited the market again and went to our meeting-place early to take a rest. Dinner was at the same restaurant and also followed with more free time.
